Privacy Policy

This website, armanarai.ca, is operated by Arman Arai, a wedding photographer working across Canada and, for destination weddings, everywhere outside the United States. References to "I", "me", or "my" throughout this policy refer to Arman Arai Photography.

When you submit an inquiry through the contact form on this website, I collect:

• Your name and your partner's name
• Email address and phone number
• Wedding date, venue, and location
• Guest count and how you found me
• The coverage you want and your approximate photography budget
• Any message or story you choose to share

I also collect aggregate traffic data: which pages are visited, roughly how long for, the type of device, and the country the request came from. Vercel measures aggregate traffic without cookies. Google and Meta also measure page visits, submitted inquiries, ad attribution and completed call bookings using browser identifiers. See Third Party Services below.

Information you provide through the contact form is used solely to:

• Respond to your inquiry and discuss your wedding
• Send a custom proposal or pricing information
• Communicate about your booking if we proceed to contract
• Deliver your gallery and related correspondence

I do not sell or rent your inquiry details. Google and Meta receive website activity and advertising identifiers to measure advertising performance. I do not send unsolicited emails or add you to mailing lists without your consent.

This website uses the following third party tools. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

• Resend: delivers inquiry form submissions to my inbox. What you type into the form is transmitted through Resend's infrastructure.
• Anthropic: when you ask for pricing on a wedding landing page, your names, wedding date, venue or area, coverage and budget are sent to Anthropic’s Claude to draft the first reply email you receive. Your email address and phone number are not sent to it.
• Vercel: hosts this website and provides its traffic analytics. Vercel keeps standard server logs. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not build a profile of you across sites.
• Cloudflare: serves the photographs on this site from cdn.armanarai.ca and sits in front of it as a CDN. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs.
• Calendly: powers the scheduling calendar embedded on the contact and wedding landing pages. It loads only if you scroll to it, and only then does it set its own cookies. If you book a time, the name, email and any details you enter go to Calendly to create the appointment.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measure visits, submitted inquiries, advertising attribution and completed discovery-call bookings. Meta Pixel measures page visits, submitted inquiries and completed bookings for advertising attribution. All three load when a public page loads. These services may process data outside Canada under their own privacy policies. Website conversion events do not include the name, email or answers you enter in Calendly.

The Google and Meta advertising tags load with any public page on this site, and they are the cookies that measure advertising. They are excluded from the private client portal and the admin pages. You can block them with your browser’s cookie and tracking-protection settings, with a content blocker, with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or through your Meta ad preferences. Blocking them does not prevent you from booking a call.

Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie for security and bot mitigation. The Calendly calendar on the contact and wedding landing pages sets its own cookies, but only once you scroll far enough for it to load. A completed-booking identifier is stored for the current browser session to prevent duplicate conversion reports; no invitee name or email is stored with it. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

Inquiry form submissions are retained in my email inbox for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our correspondence. If we enter into a contract, your information is retained for the duration of our working relationship and for a period of up to 3 years after delivery of your final gallery, in accordance with standard business record-keeping practices.

Vercel retains aggregate traffic data according to its platform settings. Google and Meta retain measurement data according to the settings and policies of those services. Advertising tags are excluded from the private client portal and admin pages.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information I hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Withdraw consent to processing where consent is the legal basis

This policy is intended to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and, for residents of Québec, with the province's Law 25. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, your rights are governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This website is not directed at children under the age of 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact me and I will delete it promptly.

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of this website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
